Hello, I am Dexter, an A.I. programmed by Professor Oak and regularly updated by multiple pokemon zoologists, paleontologists, botanists, and geologists. My archives contain information on the lives of Pokemon, their diets, and how they should be cared for. I hope to be of use to you as much as possible.

Arachnut, an arboreal spider pokemon.
Arachnut are rarely found in the wild, hiding in the branches of trees with large seeds. It has eluded most observers by disguising itself as various nuts. It has achieved this by carefully removing the shells and attaching them to its body with webbing. By curling its legs it can make it appear that each piece reassembles seamlessly, making blend in with the other seeds in the trees.
It was discovered by accident, when a farmer harvested his orchard for apricorns. He fled in fear when one of them sprouted legs and reared a pair of fangs. Investigators found the Pokemon, along with hundreds of its siblings in the entire property.
Wild Arachnut are very shy predators, preferring to not be seen by humans and other pokemon. It will remain still in its disguise for days until anyone observing it looks away. When suitable prey wanders below it, it will drop webs on the victim before jumping on it to feed on its fluids.
Trainers caring for this pokemon should keep a supply of live insect larvae to feed it. Wurmple and Caterpie are its favorites. Berry juice and poke beans should be rarely used, as its digestive system cannot process plant matter well. If not properly nourished, it will become sick and resentful of its trainer, making any attempt to hide away from them, if possible.

Smink, a smoking skink pokemon.
Smink are rarely found in the wild, and are found where berries are plentiful. This pokemon has a very high metabolism and uses a lot of energy to keep generating fire to warm its body. It eats frequently to keep itself nourished as it reaches starvation in a matter of hours.
This pokemon will feed on most prey that it catches up with in quick bursts of speed, but it prefers to eat berries, which are easier to obtain. When eating a berry, it warms the fruit with its internal heat and suckles on the juices that melt out. After a while, it burns, causing it to let off puffs of smoke. The stem sticking out of the mouth makes these pokemon look like they're doing a bad habit.
When threatened by a predator, Smink will attempt to run away to hide under a rock or log. If it's grabbed by the tail, the extremity detaches and bursts into flame, burning the attacker and allowing escape. This pokemon regenerates its tail in a matter of days. It has been observed that some individuals grow either forked or multiple tails under certain conditions.
Trainers often complain of Smink's constant desire for food. It is suggested to keep it in a pokeball, making it dormant as this slows down the frequency of mealtimes. More clever trainers have found that feeding them things that take longer to digest also helps. Certain stores sell food to reptile collectors that can satisfy this Pokemon's appetite.

Capricolt, a skittish pokemon.
Capricolt lives in springs, rivers, and lakes, across the Orudo Region. It has been observed to spend most of its life submerged under the water's surface in large herds. The horns on its head are connected to sinus cavities, making natural snorkels for it to breathe. It only comes to shore to feed on reeds, grass, and cattails.
When it senses danger or humans, it will swiftly turn tail and dive into the depths. It will do anything to escape, if its pursuer keeps up with it. If it's cornered, it will fight back with its horns and hooves.
Over time, this pokemon has become more rare in the wild, due to its unusual fur and mane that lights up like starlight. Collectors have valued it, seeing it as a "living constellation". They are sometimes bred and trained to perform in contests to show off this quality.
Trainers who take care of Capricolt will find it to be helpful in crossing rivers with strong currents. However, if it is spooked, it will attempt to buck off the rider before escaping. It is recommended not to ride them in waters where pokemon attacks are common.
